As a white male I used to think that America's racial issues were someone else's problem. Have you ever had that thought? If so, our new podcast and Zoom platform may be just for you. My name is Joe and my co-host friends Jarvis, Marcus, and I are excited to introduce Accepting Others, a unique new podcast + Zoom platform. We have created this new platform specifically to encourage having these challenging conversations about racial issues that affect us all. It is our sincere desire to help more of white America to better understand systemic racism and to join with us in becoming anti-racists.
Our upcoming podcasts and zoom conversations will be co-hosted by us and my thanks to Jarvis and Marcus for their critical role in creating this new platform. Each episode will be introducing a topic using a book, a movie, or other media as a guide and that same topic will be the focus of our followup zoom conversations each month.
We are most excited about this new engagement opportunity for you to join us in conversation on our monthly zoom gatherings. We plan to publish a new podcast episode each month followed by a zoom conversation for you to join with us in discussing that month's topic. We hope you will listen to our podcasts and engage our zoom conversations and please invite your friends to do the same.
Until we begin publishing this new podcast platform please review some of the previous podcast episodes from My Awakening Podcast accessible just below on this website.
Here are some important truths continuing to highlight the need for this podcast and for our conversations to continue:
